Step Up & Get Checked Out

  • See your health care provider on a regular basis. Don’t put off scheduling your annual physical and other tests that may be needed such as pap smears and mammograms. This includes dental exams.
  • Review your personal and family medical history. Talk to your health provider about scheduling any necessary preventive screenings.
  • KNOW. YOUR. BODY. Get familiar with it. If you are married or in an intimate relationship, encourage your husband or significant other to do so also. You live with your body 24 hours a day and if something doesn’t look or feel right, you will know.
  • Do regular self-breast exams. They are still an important tool for early detection! Here's a great guide to doing your breast self-exam.
